IT Minister Sri KTR inaugurated the 2nd ICT Policy 2021-26 in the presence of NASSCOM Chairperson Rekha M Menon, Principal Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, U.S. Consulate General Hyderabad Joel Reifman & HoDs of ITE & C Dept in Hyd.
Addressing the gathering at the inauguration of 2nd ICT Policy Minister KTR stated that Telangana was the fourth largest contributor to the country’s economy, according to the “Handbook of Statistics on the Indian Economy 2020-21” released by the RBI.
During the last year, Telangana recorded a phenomenal growth in the IT/ITeS sector with at a rate of 12.98 as total IT/ITeS Exports stood at ₹1,45,522 Crores. Telangana’s growth rate is more than double the average national growth rate.
Through the Digital Telangana initiative, Govt. of Telangana has been able to make the digital world more accessible for the citizens. Over 3000 public wi-fi access points have been established in Hyderabad and is now expanding to other cities. Minister said Telangana has seen the highest annual growth rate in IT/ITeS exports in the last 5 years in the country and has created over 2.5 lakh jobs in the IT Sector during this period bringing is several marquee investors.
హైదరాబాద్‌లోని హెచ్‌ఐసీసీలో రెండవ ఐటీ పాలసీ 2021- 26 ను మంత్రి శ్రీ కేటీఆర్‌ ఆవిష్కరించారు. ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో నాస్కామ్‌ చైర్మన్‌ రేఖ మీనన్‌, ఐటీశాఖ ప్రిన్సిపల్‌ సెక్రటరీ జయేష్‌ రంజన్‌ మరియు ఇతర ఉన్నతాధికారులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా మంత్రి మాట్లాడుతూ…
తెలంగాణలో తలసరి ఆదాయం ఏడేండ్లలో దాదాపు రెట్టింపయిందని చెప్పారు. తలసరి ఆదాయంలో జాతీయ సగటు కంటే రాష్ట్రంలో ఎక్కువగా ఉందన్నారు. తెలంగాణ ఏర్పడిన నాటికంటే ఐటీ ఎగుమతులు రెండింతలు అయ్యాయని వెల్లడించారు. 2013-14లో రూ.57 వేల కోట్లుగా ఉన్న ఐటీ ఎగుమతులు.. 2020-21 నాటికి రూ.లక్షా 45 వేల కోట్లకు పెరిగాయని చెప్పారు. ప్రపంచంలో అత్యున్నత ఐదు కంపెనీలు హైదరాబాద్‌లో తమ ఆఫీస్‌లను ఏర్పాటు చేశాయన్నారు. అనేక అంతర్జాతీయ కంపెనీలు ఇక్కడ కార్యకలాపాలు నిర్వహిస్తున్నాయని తెలిపారు.
ఎలక్ట్రానిక్స్‌ రంగంలో 1.5 లక్షల ఉద్యోగ అవకాశాలు వచ్చాయని మంత్రి చెప్పారు. టాస్క్‌ ద్వారా మూడు లక్షల మందికి పైగా నిపుణులను తయారు చేశామన్నారు. ఐదు వందలకు పైగా ప్రభుత్వ సేవలు మీ సేవ ద్వారా అందిస్తున్నామని వెల్లడించారు. స్మార్ట్‌ గవర్నమెంట్ విభాగంలో తెలంగాణ జాతీయ అవార్డులు గెలుచుకుందని తెలిపారు. గ్రామీణ ప్రాంతాల్లోని 5 లక్షల మందికిపైగా డిజిటల్‌ ఎడ్యుకేషన్‌ అందించామన్నారు. టైర్-1, టైర్-2 ఐటీ విస్తరణ కోసం ఐటీ- హబ్ లు ఏర్పాటు చేస్తున్నామన్నారు.
